The Market Gap
Every UAE resident with a Land Cruiser, Prado, or Patrol already owns the tow vehicle. The product that goes behind it — at a price that makes sense for a family — does not exist.
OBK World sold out is not a footnote. A UAE-built camping trailer at AED 31,880 found buyers fast enough to clear stock. BYOT at AED 15,000–25,000 undercuts that by AED 7–17k with a lighter aluminium body. The market is there. The product isn't.
Market Proof
The US RV market is the clearest proxy. Towable trailers dominate because they're cheaper to own, don't require a dedicated vehicle, and the tow vehicle doubles as everyday transport. That's the exact BYOT proposition.
US households that own an RV — up 62% over 20 years. Travel trailers are 58% of that market.
Median RV owner age — down from 53 in 2021. The 35–54 family segment is the growth driver. "Dubai Dad" to the letter.

The BYOT Proposition

25mm aluminium box section body — lighter than OBK World's 2.5mm galvanised steel. Fabricated by UAE custom workshops. Fully road-legal, RTA-registerable.
A pull-out hob, prep surface, and 60L water tank. Inside sleeping for the kids or a proper queen on the fold-out. This is what turns "wife tolerates camping" into "wife plans the next trip."

Fabrication
The UAE already has the fabrication capability. TransTech FZ-LLC in Sharjah has been doing custom aluminium bodies for 22 years — 826 projects, 14 countries. They already make a camper trailer (Camper Moo, AED 40,000). BYOT's body spec is simpler and targets a lower price point.
Other candidates: Harman Star (DIP-1 Dubai, 1,000+ custom trailers since 2012), Al-Atef Welding (Fujairah, custom fab). The workshop capability exists. It hasn't been pointed at the family adventure segment at an accessible price — until now.
